PURPOSE: The purpose of the office is to provide the highest and most effective service to victims of crime and the citizens of Whiteside County in those areas provided for by statute. See also Victim's Assistance Program.
SERVICES: Prosecution of:
  • criminal statute violators
  • Traffic law violators
  • Conservation law violators
  • Juvenile criminal offenders
  • Animal control and health-related ordinance violators
Representation and defense of:
  • Illinois Dept. of Children & Family Services on behalf of abused, neglected dependents
  • Regional Superintendent of Schools
  • Persons who are victims of domestic violence
  • Offer legal advice to Whiteside County Board (agencies & departments)
  • Law enforcement agencies within the county
